Besides being a fantasy artist Stanley works full-time at an art manufacturer, which wholesales to the furniture industry, as their art director. He has designed and produced art for furniture companies such as Rooms-to-Go, Havertys, Matter Brothers, and Thomasville. Stanley took his art in a new direction in 1995 when he became enthralled with the scratchboard technique as a medium that captures and enhances the texture of fantasy creatures.
